User Preferences The User Preferences page contains numerous options for your account. You can find it by looking at the navigation on the left of everything on Misticpets, right under 'Create a Pet', or you can click here. The first option is to change your e-mail. All you have to do if you want to change the e-mail you originally gave Misticpets is click on the button, enter your current Misticpets password, and then the e-mail address you want to use instead of the original one. Click 'Change E-mail Adress' when you've filled the boxes out, and you're done! Next is to change your password. Make sure you read our account safety guide about passwords! When you click on this button you'll have three boxes. The first is for the password that you are currently using, and the next two are for your new password. To be sure that you entered the new password the way you wanted, Misticpets asks for it twice. The third button is for your profile description. When you go here all you'll find is a box. You can stay simple and only enter text, or you can get a little fancier and use some code with your text. The only codes that work are the following: Make sure you remove these stars: * ! Otherwise the codes will not work. [*b]text[*/b] [*i]text[*/i] [*u]text[*/u] [*img]image link[*/img] When you put these codes in they will change after you've saved them, and you'll have to be sure to change them back to the above for them to still function properly. The fourth button is your blocked list. When you click it you'll see a list of the users you have blocked and a box to add to your list. If you have someone on the list that you want to unblock, simply click 'Unblock' at the end of their row in the list. If you want to add someone, just type their name into the box below and click 'Block User'. Now we're on the second row of buttons. The first one in this row is 'edit pets'. When you click it you'll see all of your pets, and they may stretch the page depending on how many you have. Below each pet you have the options to view their profiles, edit their profiles, disown them, and then all of their stats. If you click a pet they will become your active pet (you'll have to go to another page for it to show). Viewing their profile will take them to the same page as the one on your profile. If you want to edit their profile, click the link, and use the same codes as you did for your profile to make theirs. Next we have forum settings! First you can pick an avatar. You can either select a standard avatar, or a special (hidden) one. If you need help finding the avatars throughout all of Mistica, try out our avatar searcher at the top of this page. To change an avatar, select it from the drop down. It will appear and if you like it, click 'Change Avatar'. If you don't like it, select another from the drop down until you find one you do like. At the bottom you can make your signature which works like your profile! If you erase everything in the box and update your signature with nothing inside, it will not save and instead go back to the last signature you had. The only way to get rid of this is to make a fragment of code or something else that would not appear. Lastly, we have the themes. Whichever theme you pick will apply to the entire Misticpets site whenever you log in. Just select the one you like from the drop down and click 'Change Theme'. To preview the themes you'll have to go around the site after changing it. When you log out, your account will remember which theme you're using and will come back when you log in, but the site will go back to the default once you've logged out.
